Privacy & Confidentiality Policy

Kindred Consulting C.R. (“Kindred Consulting C.R.,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality, and proprietary information of our clients.

This Privacy & Confidentiality Policy explains how information is handled in the course of our consulting services and reflects our commitment to discretion, trust, and professional integrity.

 

This policy applies to all clients and prospective clients of Kindred Consulting located within the United States, Canada, and Costa Rica.

Seven Rules to Keep all Parties Safe

  1.  Our Commitment to Confidentiality

 

Kindred Consulting maintains strict confidentiality in all consulting relationships. Any information shared by a client—whether verbal, written, electronic, or otherwise—is treated as confidential and protected from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

Confidential information includes, but is not limited to:

​

  • Business strategies, plans, and internal processes

  • Financial, operational, or technical information

  • Intellectual property, trade secrets, and proprietary materials

  • Personal, sensitive, or identifying client information

  • Communications, notes, analyses, recommendations, and deliverables produced during consulting engagements

 

All confidential information is used solely for the purpose of providing consulting services and is never disclosed to third parties without prior written consent from the client, except where legally required.

   2.   Mutual Confidentiality Obligation

 

Confidentiality is a mutual obligation between Kindred Consulting and the client. Both parties agree to safeguard each other’s confidential and proprietary information and to take reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized disclosure, misuse, or access.​

    3.  Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) Requirement

​

To ensure the highest level of privacy and legal protection for both parties:

​​

  • A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is required to be signed by both parties prior to the first consultation, including any preliminary, exploratory, or unpaid discussions.

  • No consulting services, strategic conversations, or exchange of sensitive information will take place until the NDA has been fully executed.

  • The NDA governs confidentiality obligations in detail and will control in the event of any inconsistency with this Privacy & Confidentiality Policy.

    4.   Data Handling and Security Practices

 

Kindred Consulting implements reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect client information, including:

​

  • Secure storage of physical and digital records

  • Restricted access to confidential information on a need-to-know basis

  • Use of secure communication methods when appropriate

  • All Software and emails are protected by cyber-security and encrypted.

​

Client information is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill consulting obligations, comply with contractual requirements, or meet applicable legal and regulatory obligations within the United States, Canada, and Costa Rica.

    5.    No Sale or Unauthorized Use of Information

 

Kindred Consulting does not:

​​​

  • Sell, rent, license, or trade client information

  • Use client information for advertising, testimonials, or marketing purposes without explicit written permission

  • Disclose the existence of a client relationship without consent, unless the relationship has been publicly acknowledged by the client

     6.    Legal and Regulatory Disclosure

 

Confidential information may be disclosed only if required by applicable law, regulation, or court order in the United States, Canada, or Costa Rica. When legally permitted, Kindred Consulting will make reasonable efforts to notify the client in advance of such disclosure.​​​​​​

      7.   Policy Updates

 

Kindred Consulting may update this Privacy & Confidentiality Policy from time to time. Any material changes will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, communicated directly to clients, continued use of consulting services.​​​​​​
